Many of you who saw the new ad for Donner Sang Compter were amazed, and no wonder asking themselves who’s behind this great work.
I have the pleasure to bring you the answers in a chat I’ve done with the clip’s director and here is what he had to say.
1- Daniel Habib, expected to grab this year your Bachelor degree in “Arts, Communication Arts Sp. Radio, TV and Film” at the NDU – Louaize, what brought you to work for DSC and how did you get introduced to the NGO?
I personally met Mr. Yorgui Teyrouz during the summer of 2011 when we both were speakers for the TEDx Beirut event. We hadn’t met through auditions and his talk was right after mine. Needless to say I was hooked on the righteousness of the cause and Yorgui’s addictive passion for it. I just wanted to help in the best way I could and I hope you all liked the commercial.
2- Who came up with the idea and who directed the video?
I personally wrote and directed the video along with Salim Habr who was the director of photography and editor. The idea was created with the guidance of Mr. Yorgui Teyrouz who told us what he was looking for and trusted us with the content.
3- When and where was it shot and how long did it take you to do so?
The project was shot back in December mainly in Klayaat (near Achkout, Kesserwan) and other locations. Time is a valuable commodity in our line of work so we are used to working fast. We shot the commercial in about 5 non consecutive hours.
4- Who were the actors involved in the commercial?
Our wonderful actors in order of appearance are:
and the adorable girl Haya Zarour.
5- I’ve read you’re a writer/script consultant/director at Iron Heyoka. Tell us more about it!
What Iron Heyoka basically is a young production house made up of talented individuals in different fields that provides services in the media milieu. We take every project to heart and provide the customer with whatever he/she needs in the highest of standards.
6- Last but not least, what would you like to say to DSC?
Keep up the great work! We, at Iron Heyoka, are honored to consider this project one of our first official projects because we couldn’t have had a more pleasurable kick off working for DSC. There is yet more to come. And finally thank you for being there for us all.
DSC would like to thank Daniel and the whole crew for the amazing work they’ve done, and wishes them the best of luck for the future!
Here’s the ad again, for those of you who missed it.
